Dear Anonymous, it IS hard to see the prim shapes! Thats why I try to send anyone who wants to build stuff to the Ivory Tower of Prims. Every time I go there, I get an "aha" moment when I see some new shape! :)

Dear Anonymous, I assume you mean the black and white stripped ribbons that appear to go around the dress and on the hat. The part that goes around the dress is actually part of the dress texture (its drawn in).

The bow is a prim attachment. I used a slightly different type of bow because these are supposed to be large and flat. The 2 big loops are made from hollowed/path cut/tapered/profile cut tori (whew!). Yes, a lot happened to those pieces of tori :P But that creates a rounded, tapered, curvy object. If you put 2 of those on top of each other, you have a bow loop.

The center of the bow is just a torus.

And there are 2 flexi cylinders (tapered, hollowed, and path cut) as the ends of the bow. These flap about a bit as you move.

Its really not as bad as it sounds here. You kinda have to see the shapes. Thats why I hang out at the 2nd floor of the Ivory Tower of Prims once in a while to get ideas. :)

Arctellion, we really really need some quality clothing for guys. We go to all the trouble to prim and bling outselves up, but the guys are using the default skin with wearing flat texture cloths, SL "grown" hair and shoes. So we need you :)

Alyse, Im so glad to be able to help! That Search issue nearly tramatized me :P I had places planned but couldnt go there! So Im going through all of the old posts and updated them with SLURL's. And I am creating new index pages soon. Hopefully, we will still be able to go places when Search is down! :)

Sorcha...ah oh...Im not sure I can outdo this one :P And Im not sure the servers can handle it if I tried :) I love doing these "super" outfits. They are so much fun, especially when it starts coming together. I will try to do 1 a week...:)

Tina, this took a little more than a day to make. But it built on other things I did...like the skirt from the Hermione dress. I normally have deadlines for all the outfits, because if it takes too long, I will fall behind. This went past a bit, but was well worth it! :)

It was such an absolute pleasure meeting you the other day, Miss Zelmanov! I shall second what Mr. Courier said and allow that dress is truly splendid and is more than appropriate for Caledon--piffle on the exact decade of origin! Why, Mr. Courier occasionally roars into the 1920s, and nobody gainsays him that (though he has yet to open a speakeasy... rumours of a nearby opium den notwithstanding)

Sincerely hoping to see you again in our little world of 10 or so sims!

P.S. All our love of period costume might give the wrong impression--ANYONE is more than welcome to visit and frequent Caledon, modern dress or not. We ask only for politeness and a certain level of decency in clothing (i.e. it is not the place for g-string only ensembles). Most visitors do seem to want to get into the spirit of things, of course, and there are a number of shops which will cheerfully help you with a period outfit, many with freebies (check out the main square in Victoria city).

You will frequently find me RP'ing as a Victorian Era gent, out for a stroll on the streets of Caledon, and you might even stumble upon my "wares" at the Keyhole in Port Caledon.

I love that place!

I joined SL during the upgrade fiasco at the end of November when Search was down. Without your blog I don't think I would have lasted 2 days in SL... not knowing where to go, what to do, or how to do it.

And your tutorials have been a fabulous resource since some of the classes went away the first part of December.
