Day 1217: Countdown to Grand Opening (7 days to go)
Progress report since yesterday:
Eighth Day
(Water and Palms)
I spend a lot of time in water, so nice water is, of course, very important :)
Windlight made a huge diff for SL's water. Now, it's all sparkly and beautiful under the setting Sun.
But I like to have pretty water. Water that splashes and makes sea foam (not that mermaids like sea foam in particular :P)
Hey, I can buy this water...cool :)
Antreas Alter's Real Waves makes a whole slew of things to make your water look nice. From a calm beach to surfing waves.
Most are megaprims that you drop on top of the water. Just wiggle them around until they look good :)
OK, enough fun stuff...back to work ;P
I really have to do something about these shelves. Crystal was a good idea for the theme, but the shelves look...ugly :(
I'll spare you the details, but Ive been detaching my hair all day trying to figure out what to do about the shelves.
In the end, I decided to make them rock shelves. Still natural, without drawing attention. Now, if I can only make them less Flintstones :P
So here's the store so far, or half of it. The other half will be a second circle that connects at the top.
Hmm...palms too much?
Maybe I should lose the palms...

This has been so fun to watch. I kinda wish I'd done it with my new place. ... That I'm still putting together. >__>
enjoying watching you build the new sim Natalia - a thought on the stone shelves... maybe try a limestone - then it will blend with the white sand - coming as I do from a white sand part of the world seeing grey stone on white sand looks kinda weird - the rocks here are coral or limestone
do we need shelves? what about nets? lol hang the hair panels off the nets?

Qpop, you are so right about the whole stone thing...theyre too dark! lol I think Im giving up on the beach thing (nothing much goes with the beach theme :( ). I might give the mystic woodland by the sea a try ;P
