Day 543: Samurai Island

Ever wondered what its like to live as a samurai, trained to fight and bound by honor?

If so, Samurai Island is just the place for you ;)

Here, you can join a clan...

train as a samurai...

and challenge others to fight...

Im guess people from other clans? ;P

Or you can do what I do: go sight-seeing and find all the pretty places.

Cause mermaids dont handle weapons ;)

After a long day of beating each other up, you can relax at the samurai coffee house :)

And even a staffed geisha house!

So come grab a free training sword...

and be a samurai :)

Theres even a whole shopping sim full of samurai stuff, so you can get all kinds of different swords and dress the part ;P

Samurai Island is currently being renovated. Also, parts of the sim requires verified payment to enter.

To come to Samurai Island, click on Search, select Places, and enter "samurai island" as the keyword. The SLURL is Samurai Edo (129,244,26).

Hey! Whats a dragon doing here?

Aah, I haven't been there in ages. I do have a weapon compatible with their system though... It's longer than my av is tall. :D

Samiya, Ive meant to write about them forever, but Ive always been shy about running around combat sims :P I think they are renovating at the moment.

Heehee that must be quite a sword :P

Natalia -
Just wear a tag that says, "Don't shoot! I'm a mermaid."

Natalia Zelmanov said...

Dear Anonymous, heehee thats a great idea :) Although that tag will just probably get me in more trouble ;P

Love the blog (and the store)! You should try out the 7seas fishing game...you can catch fishie friends to float around you!

Natalia Zelmanov said...

Arcana, thanks for the tip :) Lol I was planning to go to Neo Realms (fish camp) one of these days to do a fishing entry ;P

Arcana, thanks for the plug. :D Just found this in Google. Natalia, if you're so inclined, our fishing is here: http://slurl.com/secondlife/Flotsam%20Beach/28/107/22

Since you're a blogger, let me know if you want a free fishing rod. ^_^

Whoo, that dragon could make some tasty bbq! Invite me to it's next party! :P I mean, dragons don't need expensive grills like we do!
But dragons won't have a summer 'Lets invite all our neighbors over' celebration, either.

Well, looks pretty cool! I can cosplay as all my favorite samurai now! xD Who knows...I might parade through the town, shouting something like, "Whoo! I'm Nobunaga Oda!"

But great review (as always)!

Hey Natalie, I don't suppose you could do a tutorial on how to use TOKOROTEN, could you? I wanna start making jewelry, but I need to figure out how to tell Tokoroten I need the prim to be thin, not all thick. Also, could you tell me how to make gemstone textures? You have the most popular at your shop, but I want to make birthstone jewelry, so I need some less popular colors, too.

Oh, and maybe a tutorial on how to make custom eyes?

Moondragon007, as for the thinkness thing, you can adjust the thinkness of a sculptie inside SL (so it doesnt really matter how thick it is in TOKOROTEN). There are some jewelry-making classes inworld in SL that goes into a lot more depth (you might want to check some of the inworld schools for info). Also, Texture-R-Us and a couple of the texture places carry gem textures (although Ive never really used them). They look pretty though :)
