Day 180: Yankee Stadium

Its me, Talia, the better half :)

Any baseball fans out there? Well, did you know that there is a Yankee Stadium in Second Life?

Really, honest to goodness, full sized stadium right here...

They give out these foam fingers for free at the gift shop (with the whole annoying waving animation too! :D).

And whats baseball without the hot dog and pennant? :)

Its a beautifully designed stadium. It even has little baseball players :)

And fireworks launchers (they are on the ground below the scoreboard; touch them to launch the firework).

The only issue is that well...theres not much to do here...

Unfortunately, you cant really play baseball here. And the video streaming doesnt seem to be working (perhaps it only works at certain times...)

It would really be nice to be able to play baseball here (or at least watch a firework show). How about turning it into a club at nights? :P

Oh well, but its still a site worth checking out, particularly if you are a baseball fan. If nothing else, come down and grab a free foam finger and pennant :)

To come to Yankee Stadium, click on Search, select the Places tab, and enter "yankee" as the keyword. The SLURL is Baseball (214,129,27).

You don't need to worry Natalia, Talia doesn't have your fashion sense. Everybody knows you're supposed to go to Yankee Stadium dressed in Haggar slacks, a mustard-stained, blue NYY jacket and sweat faded blue hat.

Oh, and you need to put on a few pounds, too.

:)

Talon, heehee I dont have any Haggar slacks or mustard-stain texture :P

I really wish we could play baseball in Yankee Stadium...that would be so cool!

Supposed to go to the realspace one tomorrow night. Most fun place so far I found was a nightclub with disco music (and no cover charge!) but most people left after I got there. They need to have more tour guides floating around in there.

Dear Anonymous, have you looked at the Travel Guide (in the Site Index)? That should keep you busy for a while :)

Then try the Sports and Activities :P
