Day 178: GNUbie Love
Guess what I found in Natalia's closet? Yep, its her Schoolgirl 1.0 outfit. The one she wore in her first blog entry ever. What was she thinking? :P
Anyway, here I am at the GNUbie Store. Of course, its me, Talia, your ever helpful evil Alt :)
I cant believe Natalia never mentioned this place! How can she forget something like this? Im telling you, that blonde hair is doing something to her...

, Yadni's Junkyard, and Sarah's Freebie Paradise, everything at the GNUbie Store is free or L$1. But there are things in the GNUbie Store thats not available anywhere else in SL. So every resident should come by the GNUbie Store at least once.
And its not just for newbies either. Takes these buildings for example. Really cool stuff, including many houses, office buildings, a church, and even a skyscraper for L$1.
Prim hair from Gurl6 and Panache for L$1...
And L$1 male skins too :) Hmm...wonder if I should buy some for research purposes...
So between the L$1 male skins from Sarah's Freebie Paradise, Tete a Pied Skins, and here, you guys finally have a choice for low cost newbie skins...
And vehicles and gadgets from Cubey Terra, co-founder of Abbotts Aerodrome (that airport/skydiving place).
This includes 2 different Teleporters! For L$1!
They also have an assortment of textures, clothes, jewelry, scripts, furniture, and gadgets.
To come to GNUbie Store, click on Search, select the Places tab, and enter "gnubie" as the keyword. The SLURL is Powder Mill (120,144,34).
Im definitely going to update Getting Started in SL Guide with the GNUbie Store. I cant believe that blonde left this place out completely!
BTW, I started tracking places with special items for newbies in section 8 of the Getting Started in SL Guide. If you come across any place with L$1 (or inexpensive) skin, hair, nice outfits, or items for new residents, please let me know! I will add it to the Getting Started in SL Guide. Future residents will thank you!

the freebie warehouse also has a lot of free items. i cant really say they are really quality items but when i started out as a newbie it was a great learning experience to have all that and to be able to experiment with them.
its a great place to start as they have everything like gadgets, clothes, furniture, pre-made avatars.

Ana, GNUbie is a really good place. I cant believe I didnt list it before, cause I went there a bunch of times when I started. Also check out Deviantart.com for textures :)
Tiana, thats right! I also got so many things from Freebie Warehouse when I was new...That is like the ultimate freebie place. Way too much stuff!
Dear Anonymous, there really is a lack of guys stuff. However, there are some decent male skins at GNUbie and at Sarah's. Also, check out Tete a Pied Skins (they have newbie skins if you are under 30 days old!).
