Day 159: Midian City

I was really thrilled when Torley Linden stopped by the blog and posted a comment! He even mentioned that I should go visit this cool place called Midian City :) So, I put together a nice evening gown, and decided to go check out the city.



Hmmm...seems like a nice enough place. Looks like a busy city packed with people. Pale looking people. Say, I remember going to cities like this... where was I?

So...whats with the warning when you enter the city: "Welcome to Midian City! Please read the rules - it is YOUR responsibility to know them."



Ooo a noodle shop! Heehee... can I get a fork please? Theres no way Im going to be able to eat noodles with chopsticks!



Awww...how sweet! Theres a little beach with a fun house. Thats probably why Torley told me to come here. He must know Im a mermaid! :)



They even have a nightclub, the "Twilight Zone"! What a cool place :) I have to thank Torley once Im done partying :P

Oh a church! Maybe I can go inside and take a break from those funny people at the club.

Welcome to Midian City! A dark role-playing (Goth) sim similar to Transylvania and City of Angel's.

Midian City is an amazingly detailed sim. There are way too many locations to list here. And since the sim is packed all the time, you are guaranteed to be in some interesting company while you explore. It is fun to just walk around and see how the "natives" interact. :)

Since it is a role-playing sim, sensibility rules apply: You should read the sim rules, act courteously, restrict non role-playing chat to IM, and dress appropriately (city casual). If you turn your title off, people will generally leave you alone to explore. And dont worry, they cant shoot you unless you wear a gun :)

So check out Midian City if you ever feel like a walk on the wild side. Click on Search, select the Places tab, and enter "midian" as the keyword. The SLURL is Midian City (139,46,30).

Heehee, yes, of course its based on something...






It is based very loosely on the Dark Lily gown from the movie Legend. This gown was shown only briefly, and there are very few shots of the gown on the Internet. But the gown made an impression on me, cause I can still remember it from years ago. I ended up adapting a few details from the back of the gown to the front to make it more interesting.

The skirt is a dark version of the 2-tiered Vanity dress. The top features large prim collar and shoulders. With shoulders like these, this must be the "power" Goth outfit :P
