Day 148: A Midsomer Night's Dream

Now, fair Hippolyta, our nuptial hour draws on apace...

Heehee... OK, not quite the Shakespeare play. But Midsomer Isle is probably just as pretty a place. Think of it as the Lost Gardens of Apollo, with less crowd and lag.

Its the perfect place to take a date, or to just sit and chat. Like Apollo, there are many, many secluded areas to sit and relax in...

Theres even a sky-bridge that overlooks the island, with a dance floor on one end.

Oh! Oh! And they have Elven drums and instruments. When you see a set of these, do you jump in and play? I can never resist :P

And this is the first merry-go-round gazebo Ive been in. I think the idea is to sit down with your date, touch the floor to start spinning, then everyone gets dizzy :P

Theres even a spot with romantic dinner for 2 :) *Sigh* there goes my diet :P

Midsomer Isle is home to the Belle Amie store, with jewelry and furniture.

So if youre looking for a place to um... meet with someone, stop by Midsomer Isle. Click on Search, select the places tab, and enter "midsomer" as the keyword. The SLURL is Midsomer Isle (149,124,27).

This is another dress that came out of a fashion mag. Ive had it for some time now. Frankly, I didnt know how to make it before. I saw the pix again recently, and decided to give it a try. Im amazed how nicely it came out!

The skirt is made of 3 tiers of skirts. The top tier is flat, while the bottom 2 tiers are rotated to create a ruffle effect. So its a 71 prim monster :P But looks really nice :)

And heres the coolest part: Not me, silly, the necklace! :P

Its a Bohemian glass bead necklace. The cool thing is that the size of the beads are smaller around the neck, and larger up front. It is semi-transparent, and has a white string in the middle "holding" the necklace together.

And the super cool part is that the beads were made using the LoopRez Deluxe Skirt Programmer. I just created a notecard, plugged in the sizes at the 4 corners, and told it to resize! (OK, I had to do it a few times, cause they were too big at first :P) But the Skirt Programmer really made things easier :) It still required some manual work to fit the white string and bend around the neck, but I dont think I could have made the necklace without the Skirt Programmer!

Heehee, they have an underwater hideaway. That might attract mermaids!

Of course, theres no such things as mermaids... :P
