Day 99: Happy New Year!

Happy New Year, everyone! :)
Just a quick entry today, or else my mom's going to kill me for spending New Years on the computer :P Actually, we are going to have a BBQ, and Im banned from the computer. So Im getting this in now :)
I stopped by Life Heart Beat, another one of the Galleries of Second Life. Life Heart houses a collection of mainly abstract paintings. However, its setting makes the experience worthwhile.
Velkom to my khomm...heehee this is so totally a Dracula house. Life Heart is in a large Gothic castle. Aside from the art pieces on the wall, you would think that you are in a vampire role-playing sim...
Ooh...is that a piano I see? Where Caterin?
Come see the art! No not me...the paintings behind me, silly :P
The paints are abstract collages, each filled with meaning. You can either whizzed right by them, or spend an eternity here going from one to another, trying to decipher their meaning. If you like to spend some quiet moments to reflect on some beautiful paintings, Life Heart is the place.
As soon as you step out of the galleries, you are back in that old castle again. I love the contrast, particularly against the haunting images in the paintings.
So start your New Years off right with a bit of culture! :) To come to Life Heart Beat, click on Search, select the Places tab, and enter "heart beat" as the keyword. Here is the SLURL: Creamy Dreamz (194,231,39).
If you have been reading this blog for a while, you probably recognize this dress. Its the Red Salsa Dress. Or actually, its a re-make of the Red Salsa Dress.
The Red Salsa Dress has always been my favorite dance dress. Its is loud, because it is the brightest red possible! In RGB speak, its (255,0,0). You cant make it any redder! :) I also has the beautiful hemline.
But the original version was just too poofy. And the skirt wrinkles were drawn into the panels, instead of being "real" wrinkles between flexi skirt pleats.
So ever since the Bliss Dress, Ive been wanting to remake the Red Salsa dress. So today was my chance!
The new Red Salsa dress has the same skirt as the Bliss Dress and the Barbie 2.0 Outfit I am planning to wear for the Miss Second Life Casual Round. It has all the nice improvements, including nicer pleats and higher gravity settings to help the skirt retain its shape.
Cheers everyone! And may you have a Happy and Safe New Year! :)
