Graveyard

Here lies all the sims that are no more (or at least the ones Ive visited). Some just disappeared, others changed completely, and some have changed owners and been rebuilt.

If a sim has changed a little or moved, I try to update the blog entry with the latest info to keep it away from here :)

Please let me know if any place mentioned on this blog no longer exists. Its sad to have to move them here, but at least their memory lives on...

Acropolis Gardens: Large multi-sim garden with mountains, waterfalls, lakes, a volcano, and beautiful hiking trails

Agora Ballroom: A conservative ballroom for formal dancing, with a classy ballroom setting, and free gowns and tux!

Bliss Basin: One of the premier dating spots in SL, with 2 trails circling a large lake with beautiful views and waterfalls; lake is rumored to be visited by mermaids :P

City of Unity: Medieval role-playing sim, with different areas for the lords and ladies, gypsies, Goth, and even mermaids :P

Clock Island: An artistically designed Japanese sim about clocks and numbers; includes a mystery where you search for clues around the sim

Diagon Alley: The famous shopping district based on the Hermoine Granger (I mean Harry Potter :P) series of books

Bryggen: One of UNESCO's World Cultural Heritage sites, this famous row of building and a countryside full of waterfalls make up this slice of Norway in SL

Heavenly Rose: A rose garden and one of the top romantic spots in SL, with an amazing number of poseballs! Also has a cool underwater house and dance area :)

October Country: Its always Halloween here; come to The Haunting Hour and listen to scary radio shows from the 1940s and 50s with fellow residents, or explore the creepy sim...

Opéra Populaire: Visit the infamous Paris opera house, home of the Phantom of the Opera, and the surrounding French countryside

Sigil: Sigil, Arizona, a Western role-playing sim full of cowboys/cowgirls, Indians, and all the places you expect to find in a Western movie

Sector 7: Explore a giant dam built to promote the Transformers movie, with amazing details, free robot AV's, and a community of robot enthusiasts

Tamique Island: Waterfalls, lush gardens, and lots of poseballs...just the sort of place to take someone for a romantic stroll; with dance area, wedding chapel, and quiet areas for reflection

Tharna, Gor: A Gorean role-playing city where Lady Natalia claimed her Home Stone

October Country is gone --- but a remnant of it's spirit lives on as the October Undead -- group and radio feed with member campsites and events scattered around the grid that keep the spirit alive.

Emily, Im so glad to hear it! I loved October Country (it was the first time I heard the radio shows :) ).

Natalia Zelmanov said...

Weed, heehee thank you! You don't mean the graveyard though, do you? ;P

@Natalia - whoops! haha! maybe my previous post could have been better phrased lol -- even so, the graveyard page is such a good idea -- wish i'd come across it _before_ some of my favourite places disappeared, cos i might now have some pics of them -- (one of them was a huge galleon i 'squatted' for a couple of weeks, which appeared to have been abandoned in a semi-deserted sandbox... well i was very young then lol)

Weed, lol SL def changes a lot! I think a lot of sims from my Travel Guide belongs in the Graveyard now. It's so sad whenever I have to move a blog posting to this page :(
