Day 58: Yellow Dress in Paris

Bienvenue Madams et Monsieurs! This is New Paris, and here is the Second Life Eiffel Tower. Today, I decided to take a stroll on the Continent and sample this SL romantic spot.
OK, if you are wondering whats with the weird pose, Im sitting on a "cuddle" poseball. Theres another poseball behind me for "Him". So there is supposed to be some guy snuggling up behind me. But since I am guy-free at the moment, I couldnt resist the temptation to try it anyway :)
New Paris is a quiet sim with shops and residences. There is no activity here, per se. But true to the original Paris, it is intended to be a place for lovers. This is the place where you can take your date and stroll around the Eiffel Tower. You can even go up to the mid-level or top of the Tower for different views of the city.
The abundance of "Him" and "Her" poseballs everywhere is a sure sign that this is a place for romance. So practice your Camera Controls and come take some snapshots!
For example, this is me smooching a blue poseball at the mid-level. Just couldnt resist! ;P
There are also strategically placed "chilled" champagne bottles throughout the Tower. Nice touch! :)
And who could resist the view at the top of the Eiffel Tower! Actually, I bumped into a couple on a date up here. And also a giant bird AV who promised to grant my wish within 7 days. I wished that people would read and enjoy this blog...lets see what happens :)
I have not been on a date in Second Life yet, so Im not sure what exactly happens. The usual dinner and a movie doesnt exactly work here. :P So if you are looking to impress that special someone, try looking up New Paris in Search under Places for keyword "Paris". The SLURL is New Paris (121,113,24).
So what did you think of the outfit? I thought a nice yellow dress would be appropriate for a date with myself! :) Like many other outfits, this was also an experiment: this time in trying to make a double layer skirt.
As it turned out, this was fairly straightforward to do. The top is basically the Salsa Dress outfit in yellow. I used the skirt from the
Ice Skating outfit, shrunk it slightly, and changed the color to yellow.
Then I made a copy of it. I normally attach skirts to my Pelvis attachment point. I attached the copy to the Stomach attachment point. Then I adjusted both skirts, making sure the top one overlapped the bottom. And that's it! Worked out pretty well :)
And I finally met my blog friend Sorcha McConachie in SL today! She has such a totally cool party pad...Im so jealous. And her AV is hot too...no wonder the guys are all falling for her :P
Postcard from Paris, Second Life: I love it here. The people are nice. The champagne is chilled. And romance is in the air. Wish you were here. Cause I dont thing Im coming back. Signed...Nat :)

Hi Natalia,
Just a note to let you know that I am learning so much from your blog. This is a great place for all of us "lost" newcomers. You are helping me so much more than anything else I have found. I especially love the tips on making clothes and where to visit -- AND your yellow dress is absolutely beautiful! Keep it up girl! I'm loving it!!
anicholson: well said. :-)
New Paris is indeed a magical place... and you look gorgeous in that yellow dress! Thank you for your wonderful blog.
Ah! So you love New Paris as I do! I love the photos you have taken around New Paris. I am glad you found it. There are many wonderful regions and SIMS like New Paris, but for some reason, this has a special attachment to it. A labor of LOVE so to speak. I can see it in the detail and the carefully thought out planning of the streets and buildings. The touches .. are impecable. I feel as though NEW Paris was created out of a VIsion, that has more to it than meets the eye. I am still hoping to meet with Madam Zagato, the creator and thank her in person for giving me, us, such a wonderful gift here in SL. Thank you for visiting my blog. Sorry it took me so long to reply. Lol... Sorcha is responsible for our meeting!
I've commented before but I want to let you know I still check your site everyday to see your great outfits and the interesting places you go. I love your blog. Keep it up.
